Joey’s dress was not even close to ordinary. She wore a powder blue organza strapless gown hand-painted with impressionistic florals in coral, orange, yellow, blush and dusty purple covered the bodice and swept into a cathedral train. Joey and Sam said “I do” at Beaver Creek Wedding Deck and danced the night away at Spruce Saddle Lodge.

“Beaver Creek, Colorado, has always been a second home to the bride, and she has always dreamed of getting married there one day. Little did she know that her ski school friend would be the one to introduce her to her future husband, a southern gentleman from Georgia who also shared a love of the mountains. Fast forward to July 2025, the weekend kicked off with a western-themed welcome party at Saddle Ridge, a venue full of artifacts and Ralph Lauren-inspired decor. While guests arrived in their best cowboy attire, they could also make a custom hat at the bar. A local country band played, BBQ food was served, and a banana cream flavored groom’s cake and s’mores by the fire pit. The party continued down in the village on a private terrace to listen to more live music and watch the 4th of July fireworks. July 5th: Set atop a breathtaking Colorado mountain, this outdoor wedding ceremony at the Beaver Creek Wedding Deck is accessible only by chairlift or gondola, with sweeping views of the Gore Range and natural rock formation benches for 200+ guests. Surrounded by wildflowers and aspen trees, the color palette echoed the land and natural surroundings with soft neutrals and pops of meadow-inspired colors. The bride, an agent and producer at a New York fashion agency, wore a blue Danielle Frankel gown and veil with hand-painted florals, while her groom wore a custom pocket square to match. The cocktail hour took place outside Spruce Saddle Lodge, with a string trio, custom-built bars, furniture lounges, live guest painting, corn hole, and a mountain ice sculpture caviar bar. The evening continued inside with beautiful florals and cream drapery, indoor chandelier arches covered in vines, wildlife-themed plates, and locally sourced fare for added rustic charm. The room was a mix of long tables with exposed wood and round tables with floral tablecloths. As the sun set over the peaks, the bride and groom took a moment to capture golden hour photos with martinis in hand. A second line was played to invite everyone upstairs, where they were greeted by bartenders offering espresso martinis and old-fashioneds, stationed on a bookshelf with personal mementos, such as parents’ wedding photos and her mother’s veil. The upstairs space was transformed into a dance party with a 28×28 custom plaid dancefloor, string lights, an 11-piece brass band, floral-covered pillars, lounge banquettes, and a 4 ft long wedding cake with the first dance lyrics written on it. After a night of dancing, guests grabbed their late-night snacks and boarded the gondolas down the mountain, where many continued celebrating at the local dive bar. The wedding was a perfect blend of Jewish and Irish traditions, including whiskey shots during the ceremony and the horah during the reception. It was a magical weekend in a place where the bride’s childhood dreams turned into a reality, surrounded by mountains and the love of friends and family.”
